Music Supervision

Point of interest music system

For this unannounced project, I designed and implemented a multi-layered system to support both time of day and points of interest simultaneously. As the player nears a point of interest, new musical layers are seamlessly introduced to give the player an audible hint that they are near something interesting.

Combining both time of day and point of interest music means that there are many unique permutations that the player may experience.

Combat Music

My goal when creating this combat system was to use intensity, duration, and distance to determine how to “score” the player’s combat experience. This system utilizes a layered approach with distance support to choose the base music, stingers to highlight special moments, a buffer zone for minor combat encounters, and end success stingers that reward the player for completing longer & more intense battles.
