Partnering with Warframe on a new rendition of “For Narmer” - TennoCon 2025
A few months ago, I received an email from the Warframe team at Digital Extremes, asking if I’d be interested in partnering with them to bring a new rendition of two beloved Warframe themes, “For Narmer”, and “We All Lift Together”, to life. The decision was a no-brainer for me; I have been a long-time fan of Warframe music, and the opportunity to partner with them directly was incredibly exciting.
I hit the ground running creating a rendition that respected the form and overall vibe of the original composition of “For Narmer” (written by Keith Power), but made a few departures from the original as well. I opted for a stripped-down, emotion-driven first chorus and expanded the ending, sprinkling in an array of changes in the orchestration along the way. The most notable change that I made to this version was the addition of the Fortuna theme, “We All Lift Together”, weaving it in between “For Narmer” beginning in the second verse. These two pieces fit together flawlessly (I have to wonder if Keith Power did this intentionally!) and the result was certainly powerful.
Both “For Narmer” and “We All Lift Together” are group songs that emphasize togetherness, so I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sing alongside some of my talented friends. I was joined by Peter Barber, John Theodore, and Jax the Bard; their voices absolutely elevated this rendition and I am so grateful they could join me. This cover was mixed by Peter Tomlinson.
In the lead-up to TennoCon 2025, Digital Extremes also partnered with an array of other talented creators: MarcoMeatball, MauriceMori, VoicePlay, and Jonathan Young. Check out this article on Warframe’s website for more information about these incredible artists!
